Application for Participation in The Practice Studio.
The Practice Studio is intended for contemporary makers who want to seriously develop their practice, positioning and career. Because we work intensively and personally, we always begin with an intake and introductory conversation. Not as a sales call, but as a substantive conversation about your work, your practice and the direction in which you want to develop.
About he intake
We intentionally work with a small, carefully selected group of makers, so that every practice receives the attention, focus and guidance it requires. Development requires attention, focus and commitment. Every practice is also in a different phase. That is why, during the intake, we look not only at the quality of the work, but above all at the question: where does the practice stand today — and what is needed for further development?
The intake helps create clarity around that. For you, but also for us. Sometimes there is an immediate and clear match. Sometimes the moment is still too early. And sometimes another direction turns out to be more suitable. We consider that clarity more important than admitting as many participants as possible.
What we look at
During the intake, we do not only look at your work, but at your practice as a whole. For example:
- the phase your work is currently in
- how your practice is currently positioned
- how your work is presented and communicated
- pricing and coherence within your portfolio
- the potential for positioning and development
- whether the program is the right fit at this moment
In addition, we look at something equally important: your willingness to critically reflect, make choices and actively develop. Because a strong practice does not emerge automatically. It requires focus, reflection and development.
For whom
The Practice Studio is intended for makers who feel that their work is stronger than how it is currently presented to the world. For artists and product designers who:
- want more direction within their practice
- need more coherence and positioning
- want to present their work more professionally
- want to build sustainable relevance, value and career development
- are willing to critically reflect on their practice
- are open to development and refinement
It is important to be serious in your ambition to further develop your practice.
For whom it is not
The program is generally less suitable if you: are only looking for quick visibility or sales, do not feel open to changing or refining your practice, expect a purely marketing- or promotion-focused trajectory, do not want to invest time and attention into development, are primarily looking for confirmation rather than feedback
How it works
The intake takes place online and lasts approximately 30–45 minutes. After your application, we will contact you within a few working days to schedule an introductory conversation. From there, we will determine together whether the program is the right fit at this moment.
Possible outcomes
After the intake, there are three possible outcomes:
1. Start in The Practice Studio
There is a clear substantive match and you can begin the program.
2. Postponed participation
Your practice has potential for the program, but the timing or development phase is not yet optimal. In that case, we will think along with you about a later entry moment.
3. No match
Sometimes it becomes clear that the program does not currently align well with your practice, needs or development direction. That too is part of a careful selection process. Not every practice starts from the same point. And not every moment is the right moment to begin.
Interest
If you feel that your practice is ready for more direction, coherence and positioning, you are welcome to submit an application without obligation. From there, we will schedule a first introduction.
