The Druid

This ceramic sculpture bears spiritual portraits and symbolic ornaments and usually refers to a person who is a druid or identifies as such. A druid was a priest, sage or magician in ancient Celtic culture; they often fulfilled religious ceremonial, legal and educational functions.

Their role was also to give advice, study nature and the stars and preserve knowledge and traditions.

This ceramic hand-formed sculpture with different glazes is fired at 1100 degrees in a potter's kiln.
