Immersion

Part of a special series consisting of 4 artworks: Painted on rough canvas, i.e. the authentic potato sack, so that very rough brown jute. This is first stretched, treated with glue, then white gesso, and only then the layers of paint: Several layers of pastels, acrylic paint, finally oil paint, so each work consists of a minimum of 8 layers. To prevent light from continuing to get through at the rear, a white opaque plate has been fitted at the rear.
