Wiebrand: "I was born in Amsterdam, 1957 and graduated at the Graphic School of Art in 1975. I have been working as a graphic designer, visualizer, storyboard artist, art director, illustrator, teacher in graphic art and teacher in fine art. In my paintings I try to find a balance between depicting the actual scenery combined with the spiritual state I experience at that moment. A singing bird or smell from a flower for instance, can bring back memories of my early childhood. The images I compose are the result of linger in nature very often, making sketches, pictures and drawings all the time. The final paintings are reflections of nature combined with my personal feelings and emotions."
