For Nicolet Jager (1968) there is not a single day without photos. She loves abstract photography, playing with colors, patterns and lines. She finds her inspiration in every-day situations, materials and subjects. In nature, in streets, in buildings, while traveling as well as at home.
‘As a photographer you tend to look at the world around you in a different way. I love creating an unexpected image with simple, every-day elements. I am happy with a photograph, when you need to look again to see what it actually is.’
Nicolet has an eye for detail. Macrophotography adds an extra dimension, for example by working with liquids and light. And also by portraying objects very closely, sometimes out of proportion. She creates abstract images that surprise the viewer and make people look again.
