Antoniem

Antoniem was born in 1948 as Ton Voortman in Rotterdam, where he graduated from the Academy of BeeldendeKunsten. After a career as an independent graphic designer and illustrator, he focused fully on sculpting again in 2005. He works alternately in his studios in the Netherlands and France. The woman, her clothing and their symbiosis have a crucial place in his work. He exhibits regularly and his sculptures are included in various corporate and private collections, both nationally and internationally.

In 2019 he started experimenting with elementary shapes under the name Antoniem. The result is unique sculptures and installations, made in various materials.
