Jennifer Hartsinck

Jennifer Hartsinck is a Dutch artist who is inspired by unpredictable textures, shapes and contrasts found in nature.

Ever since she was little she has had a passion for nature and a fascination for surrealism. She was always looking for opportunities to put a estranged elements in her work, to redirect the viewers perception. When she graduated from art Academy in 2018, her fascination with alienation and nature came together in the style you can see of her today.

She believes that we have become the designers of our world where untouched, raw nature no longer has a say. Unless we take the time to wonder, unexpected treasures and riches of nature will pass us by.
Where nature maintains or regains its predominance she finds new dimensions in everyday reality.
By combining and alternating the art of photography, drawing and painting she seeks for opportunities to create alienation that simultaneously refers to the known and the unknown. Her goal is to activate the viewers primal curiosity.
When alienating reality, she gives the viewer access to new dimensions within the existing world.
