Ready to Shine

‘It’s time to let the old ways die, it takes a lot to change, it takes a lot to try’ (as the music from A Star is Born is such a big stimulus) to free yourself from everything that got in your way. To free yourself from old meaning and value assigned to things of the past is never easy, but not insurmountable.
This is what the painter experienced working on this image.
If your feelings, set in childhood, change from insignificance to significant it is a big shift. It can take place in a moment and in a lifetime of struggle to survive and to distangle assumptions and truth. In both cases the result is breathtaking, refreshing and of such a great healing.
